Digital Dish Diva Says:
Welcome to MSN Live's Special Presentation with April's Artists of the Month, Grammy winners, Destiny's Child. We invite you to meet Michelle, Beyonce and Kelly.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
To date, Destiny's Child has been awarded a total of 13 gold, platinum, and multiplatinum certifications from the RIAA.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Please help me welcome Destiny's Child, Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle, to MSN Live!

Digital Dish Diva Says:
It's great to meet you.

Michelle, Kelly and Beyonce say:
What's up y'all? This is Destiny's Child! How did you all like the album?

Digital Dish Diva Says:
The Listening Party was sensational!

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Not only do you girls sound great, but you look great as well. Do you all have this same high fashion look when you are just Beyonce, Michelle and Kelly kicking at home?

Beyonce says:
Thank you! We don't look the same high fashion every day. We're just like normal people, and some days we just have on jogging pants or jeans and tennis shoes, but we always try to look our best.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Are there some designers that you favor?

Beyonce says: Yes. Tina Knowles designs all of our clothes.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
She makes you guys look hot! (laughs) Tina, by the way, is Beyonce's mom.

Beyonce says:
Thank you!

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Let's see what the audience is saying. . .

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Diva Asks: Beyonce, how was it doing the remake of "Carmen"?

Beyonce says:
It was beautiful! I was scared to do it at first, but Kelly and Michelle said they would kill me if I didn't. I got the part and I did it. Kelly and Michelle came to the set. I made a lot of friends. I would like to do more movies and so would Kelly and Michelle.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
gymmyjam Asks: If you could take any song from the album and put it on repeat for 100 times, what song would you chose from this album?

Beyonce says:
That's a good question! (laughs) I think it would be, for me, "Dangerously in Love."

Kelly says:
"Apple Pie a la Mode."

Michelle says:
"Sexy Daddy."

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Letoyaismyfavorite Asks: What do you all do when you feel sad to cheer yourself up?

Beyonce says:
I write songs and if we have time off, I like to go to Miami. I like being around blue water and sun. I'll call my mom, pray, go to church.

Michelle says:
I cry to Beyonce and Kelly. (laughs)

Kelly says:
I read my bible and pray.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Speaking of moms, compactor says: What is the most important thing your mommas taught you?

Beyonce says:
That beauty fades. It comes from the inside. Whatever you do in the darkness will come to light.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
soldier says: Beyonce, I hear you are shy. Kelly and Michelle, are you shy too?

Beyonce says:
I don't think they're shy, but it takes Michelle a while to be her true self. She's very funny. When she first meets somebody, she doesn't tell jokes. They're not shy. (laughs) It just takes time for them to warm up.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
KiTtYrOcK Asks: What is the most important thing in your life right now?

Beyonce says:
There are a lot of important things. For me, it's making a positive influence on young people and young women. It's very important for us to stay who we are no matter how many records we sell, or awards we win. We have to stay who we are.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
babelicious says: Hi to all of you! I dug the CD I just heard. What was the atmosphere like making "Survivor"? Candles? Incense? Does where you record make a difference?

Beyonce says:
I wrote it on the plane and it took me five minutes to write. I was nervous to sing it for Kelly and Michelle, but when I got to the chorus, they got really hyped. They said it was a hit. There was so much positivity in the studio. It was incredible. It was the first song we recorded for the album. The session was so beautiful. It went so smooth. We didn't use any candles. Sometimes it makes a difference when you do a ballad, but we didn't need all that. We had God and each other.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Do you know a song is a hit when you first write it?

Beyonce says:
No. I don't know until other people hear it. I'm very critical.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
valet says: Can you compare winning a Grammy to anything else you have ever done?

Beyonce says:
No. That's something people wait their whole careers to accomplish. We were so shocked. When we got up there we didn't know what to say. All I could think about was Kelly and Michelle. It was a humbling experience.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Bella_Sirena Asks: If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would that word be?

Beyonce says:
Loyal.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Co_Co110 Asks: God has truly blessed Destiny's Child. I you all know how blessed you are. Is it hard to balance your professional life with your spiritual well being?

Beyonce says:
Sometimes it is, but we continuously surround ourselves with spiritual people, and give God our praise. Even when some people don't think it's cool.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
destinys_child_lover Asks: Beyonce, is it true that you're going out with Eminem?

Beyonce says:
(laughs) That's funny. No, I'm not going out with Eminem. He's a very cool guy and I respect his music.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Is it ever hard dealing with rumors?

Beyonce says:
It's very difficult dealing with rumors. That's the hardest thing for me in this whole industry. People totally have us all wrong. People are so shocked when they meet us. There's so many misconceptions of us. The hardest part is when people just make stuff up about you. You're only one person, you can't even defend yourself.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
What do you think is the greatest misconception is about Destiny's Child?

Beyonce says:
The whole member change thing. I think people didn't understand what happened and thought we were just kicking people out of the group. They want us to be big divas. We're divas on stage, but off stage we're just normal people.

Beyonce says:
People have a misconception of girl groups. They think we fight in the studio, who stands in the middle, who talks. They think we fight over things that have nothing to do with us. We love each other and get along very well.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Candi Asks: Who is the silliest member of the group?

Beyonce says:
Michelle. She keeps us laughing. In the "Thank You" song we wrote to each other, we say her laugh, when she cracks a joke, makes us all feel happy. She always tells the truth even when it's not appropriate. It's funny. (laughs)

Digital Dish Diva Says:
joshtek Asks: Are you nervous about the success of this new album?

Beyonce says:
A little. It's a lot of pressure because I co-wrote and produced all the songs. I was very nervous. I felt that I wrote the songs for me and there was nothing but positivity in the album. I think it's a better album than "The Writing's on the Wall." I don't know if everyone else will think so. I hope they do.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
queen_bee says: Having won Grammy Awards, do you think you have to live up to something now?

Beyonce says:
No. Winning the Grammy gave us a perfect start of the year. It just gave us fuel to work harder and accomplish more.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
POOKEYBARE0 Asks: What is the greatest thing about being where you are now?

Beyonce says:
Performing all over the world, meeting people, staying in different cultures. Being able to inspire people, change their future, save people's lives, being able to talk to our fans, meeting celebrities that you look up to, getting cool clothes for free (laughs), having your dream come true and doing it with people you love.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Which celebrities have you met that you thought "I can't believe I am hanging out with him!"?

Beyonce says:
We met and hugged Michael Jackson. We saw him while we were performing. When I saw him I was supposed to be singing, but I put the microphone down and started screaming. We talked to Janet Jackson in Amsterdam. Whitney Houston and other wonderful icons have given us a lot of time. Even with how busy they are. It's been unbelievable.

Beyonce says:
Stevie Wonder told me he liked my voice, which was SO cool. I was like "Whoa!" and Whitney Houston said she liked my voice. That's so cool when someone like that says they like your voice.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
HUY_84 Asks: What's the best thing about being on the road? Do you ever get on each other's nerves?

Beyonce says:
To tell you the truth, we don't get on each other's nerves. God was there when he put us together because we compliment each other's personalities. The best part of the road is performing every night. So, for an hour and a half every day, I'm blissfully happy.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
persona says: Hi there! What CD's you like to listen to when you are working out, driving or just hanging out?

Beyonce says:
I listen to all different kinds of music. I really love Donny Hathaway and old school music. I listen to 104 in Houston, an alternative pop station. I like listening to "Happy Face" on the album every day because it makes me happy to be alive and appreciate the world.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Whiteentity Asks: You are all such beautiful looking women. Please tell me what each one of you consider to be your number one beauty secret. Thanks!

Beyonce says:
I'm real bad with beauty secrets. (laughs) I guess just feel comfortable in whatever you have on and exude your beauty from the inside. There are some people, no matter what they are wearing, they are always beautiful.

Kelly says:
I'm a firm believer in facial masks, and tweezing eyebrows, always making your face look fresh and clean.

Michelle says:
Cleansing your face and brushing your teeth.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Sora_Takenouchi_977 Asks: When you were all little did you ever think about having a different job?

Michelle says:
I wanted to be an obstetrician.

Kelly says:
I wanted to be a singer.

Beyonce says:
I couldn't dream of anything else since I was four years old.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Survivor799 Asks: Is it hard to tell if people really like you for you know that you are big stars? Do you think that maybe this person is just trying to kiss up to me now that I'm famous. And is it the same way with guys? Like does he really like me for me?

Beyonce says:
For me--with guys--I'm cautious of that. It's hard for me to open up because in the back of my mind, I'm like "Why does he like me?" With that in our heads, it's hard to find a boyfriend. As for our friends, we surround ourselves with people who have been our friends forever. So, we don't have to worry about that.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
goatie82 Asks: Where do you each of you girls go when you need to be alone?

Beyonce says:
I can go anywhere, in the bathroom, or on my bunk on the bus, or anywhere I can just meditate. We're going to get a Yoga teacher for the tour so we can meditate and have time to ourselves. I think that's important.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
sweetgyrl_33 Asks: Now that you have accomplished so much, what are some of the things that you are looking forward to accomplishing in the future?

Beyonce says:
We want to make more music history and one day use our position to help younger people, younger kids.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Manolis_Varnasactor1 Asks: What do you think that was the very best moment in your music career?

Beyonce says:
One performance went so well, at the Houston Rodeo. It was the biggest sell-out in the rodeo. Everyone was off the hook. Everyone having a good time. Which means a lot to us. Like three generations of people enjoying the concert. We introduced the band and got teary eyed. It was so perfect. We just got full and could just feel it. That happens a lot with us. It just feels perfect. It really is cool because now we can truly enjoy our blessings now that we have so much fun together.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
sheilamarie99 Asks: What artist/group would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Beyonce says:
I want to do a duet with Nelly Furtado, Amel Larrieux, Michael Jackson, and Kim Burrell, the best singer in the world.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
sillyputty says: Any traditions before you go onstage?

Beyonce says:
We all pray and warm up together. We do this DC3 handshake thing.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
oliverrandy says: Do you ever go online?

Beyonce says:
Michelle does occasionally. Kelly and I are computer illiterate. The only time we go online is to talk to our fans. We're going to all get our own websites and have talks on the site and new pictures. So, watch for that.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
DCgary18 Asks: Beyonce, is it true that you are doing "The Boy Is Mine Part 2" with Brandy?

Beyonce says:
I didn't know that. That would be cool. (Iaughs)

Digital Dish Diva Says:
FrumpyBasher Asks: Other than God, where do you get your confidence?

Beyonce says:
I guess it comes from somewhere. I need to learn to be more confident. The only time I'm confident is when I'm onstage, I need to have more confidence with my writing. We're just normal people and have insecurities.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
dcfan4life Asks: What is something you want your fans to know about you?

Beyonce says:
I want to thank them for enjoying the music we sing and the music that I write. I'm happy that they like it. When you hear positive things, it makes you feel really good, and when you get positive letters it feels good. I produced the songs on the album and wanted everyone to sing leads because everyone is so talented. A lot of people don't know with the last album, I sang a lot of the lead. The producer comes up with a melody that he likes the most and the person that can sing that melody the best, gets to sing leads. That's not something we can choose. It's up to the producers and they just kept putting me in there. It's important to me that Kelly and Michelle sang on this album because they are so musically strong.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
hidden_dark0 Asks: Do have any lucky charms that help you when you're onstage?

Beyonce says:
Kelly and Michelle. (laughs)

Beyonce says:
I hope you enjoy the tour that's coming up with Nelly, Eve, and Dream.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
sheilamarie99 Asks: Is there one question no one has asked you yet that you WANT them to ask you?

Michelle says:
Was I a good girl growing up?

Digital Dish Diva Says:
And the answer is?

Michelle says:
I was a very busy young lady. I won't say bad, but busy. My mind was going to every place. I was experimenting a lot.

Michelle says:
I was truly a busybody. You could always find me doing something I had no business doing.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Kelly_Leo Asks: Who came up with the story behind "Story of Beauty"?

Michelle says:
I think Beyonce had gotten a hold of a fan letter. We always read all our fan letters, and one letter touched her that was from a girl who was sexually molested by her father and Beyonce wanted to answer her and let her know she's beautiful, to hold on and it wasn't her fault. People feel guilty for their lives and it's a bad emotional state to be in. Don't be scared to tell anyone because they won't believe you. That's how "The Story of Beauty" came about.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
beetlejuice says: Michelle, is there a motto that you live by? Or a quote?

Michelle says:
Treat others like you want to be treated.

Michelle says:
I know sometimes we have to catch ourselves. If you're upset at someone, you still have to love them and forgive them and be nice because you never know why that person is in your life and what kind of impact you have. Your first impression is a person's last impression of you. The next time they come across you, they'll always have that impression of you.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
MizzThang82 Asks: Who is that hitting the high notes on "Happy Face"? Whoever it was got a very good range on them!

Michelle says:
Beyonce. We were just actually in the studio and kind of joking and hitting those high notes and we told her it sounded really good, so she did it that way and really put emotion into it.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
bakhita0 Asks: Describe a normal Destiny's Child day.

Michelle says:
It's packed with a lot of things. We're usually up at 7am getting makeup done for about four hours. Then maybe a photo shoot and then perform somewhere. There were times we had to be in two countries in one day and we had to fly a lear jet to get to both places in one day. So, if you want to hang with Destiny's Child you have to be ready to work.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
IvyVirus3 Asks: Are there any other artistic talents that you possess?

Michelle says:
I think that, as far as singing, I have a knack for producing one day and arranging vocals. I used to direct the choir growing up and I had to teach the parts. That's hard to do because you have to pick out each part and teach it. I think I'm a good talker and presenter. One day I might want to own my own label. I know how to organize. Beyonce has some weird talents. She's double jointed and can do a lot of stuff. (laughs)

Digital Dish Diva Says:
FrumpyBasher Asks: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Michelle says:
I see myself still being part of the largest female groups in history, married with a child, owning and operating my own multi-million dollar studio.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
ginaB Asks: How do you prepare for your concerts and appearances?

Michelle says:
It usually takes us about an hour to get ready, pray, vocal warm ups, and dance around and have fun. Then we just have fun again onstage.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
jbori12 Asks: What is your favorite thing about Beyonce and Kelly?

Michelle says:
My favorite thing about Beyonce is she brings the best out in every single way. She's so motherly. Sometimes I'll go to her and she'll have the brightest thing to say. They're both my sisters. Kelly has shown me about loyalty. She's so giving and generous. She goes above and beyond her duty to help everyone. One time, my suitcase and clothes were just everywhere. She came into my room and just repacked my whole suitcase. She's a neat freak. (laughs)

Digital Dish Diva Says:
KellyFan2001 Asks: What was the greatest thing a fan has ever done for you?

Michelle says:
We have a lot of fans that write us letters of encouragement or give us trinkets like a bracelet with our names on it, very personalized. They give us teddy bears and things that we really do keep.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Do you take anything special on the road with you?

Michelle says:
I have a teddy bear that I take with me. Just a little brown teddy bear.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
ScorpionSign Asks: If you could change anything in your lives, what would it be?

Michelle says:
I don't think I would want to change anything in my life because God has a plan for everything. There's nothing I would change. I like the direction I'm in right now and how I got here. My life has been good.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
BeyonceChld Asks: Which song was the most difficult to record on the album?

Michelle says:
There really was no difficult song to record. If a song didn't fit our voice, Beyonce would change it to fit. If there was a part that didn't work right, she would fix it. There was no difficult part, I don't think.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
MustangGirl65Yellow Asks: When you three came together, did you have any problems at first harmonizing or getting along or did you just click?

Michelle says:
I remember when I first met the girls. The first thing we picked up on was that we could harmonize instantly--even the Twix commercial. (laughs) We could sing anything. We could just pick out our parts and sing. When people ask us to sing on the spot, we can, and it's cool. Previously, the band wasn't able to do that. We're vocally stronger now.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
dragonflygirl66 Asks: Who teaches you girls your cool moves? Dance teacher wanting to know.

Michelle says:
Junella Segura. There are often time we come up with our own choreography too.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
ScorpionSign Asks: What is the most interesting thing you've got from a fan?

Michelle says:
I recently saw a picture and a guy had his whole room plastered in Destiny's Child. It was wallpaper. He took all different pictures and covered his walls.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Well, girls, I know we have to wrap this up.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
Kelly, Beyonce, Michelle, thank you for being here tonight.

Digital Dish Diva Says:
From all of us here at MSN, best of luck with "Survivor."

Kelly says:
Thanks to everyone for logging on and participating in this chat, supporting Destiny's Child 100% and being the most loyal fans. We promise to always be here for you. You are truly in our prayers and we cannot wait for this tour so we can come see all of our beautiful fans. We'll see you soon, God bless you. Hugs and Kisses!! DC3

LBoogie: do you guys have any plans for college?

Destiny's Child: Definatly. But right now it is on hold.

Destiny's Child: We got the name out of the bible. Beyonce's mom was looking through the bible and then our picture fell out and under the scripture was the name destiny so we added child

Destiny's Child: We looked up to En Vogue

ameer: what do u feel is lacking in today's r&b scene?

Destiny's Child: That's a good question Ameer. A lot groups can get by without being able to sing. Sometimes people can make it without being able to sing becuase it has a good beat but that makes it really hard for those who can sing and are trying to make it.

Tiffany: Do you all have any plans to work with any of the other teen artists, or would you like to work with a certain teen artist, like Monica or Aaliyah or Brandy?
